For several months now, Andrew has been working to create a new collection of diverse works. Aptly named the "ODE to JOY" Collection ... each painting is a small act of joy capturing colourful moments. For each of these small compositions, Andrew has worked to bring out colours and images that delight. His technique has always involved copious layers of tinted encaustic beeswax, often reworked as he manipulates each layer.
In this collection, Andrew has opened up several of his sketchbooks for inspiration - drawings and ideas that have been lingering on pages just waiting to come to life. “I wanted to paint with more joyous colours in these times of difficulty and stress. I’m exploring a multitude of images and directions, because each sketch lives on its own with a mood of its own. I hope these painting bring you as much joy as I enjoyed creating them for you."
Each painting is 7"h x 7"w and comes framed (framed size: 9.5"h x 9.5"w) - a perfect size for any wall space! These one-of-a-kind, unique paintings are available only through ANDARA Gallery.
