Fine art photographer, Tara Wilkinson has studied photography at Centennial College, Ryerson University and Sir Sandford Fleming College's Haliburton School of the Arts. Extensive travel throughout her career has resulted in opportunities to photograph in 25 countries ... and counting. Since 1998, Tara has had solo photography exhibitions in Toronto and Prince Edward County.
Since 2010, Tara has won several Awards and Honourable Mentions for her photography. In 2020, Tara's photograph "The Sea is a Harsh Mistress" (Tickle Cove, Newfoundland) won a Juror's Award at the 27th Annual Art in the County Juried Exhibition and Sale. artinthecounty.com. |
Tara's AMORE exhibition was part of the 2017 Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival at the Joseph D. Carrier Gallery in Toronto. Tara's image "In the Light of Loneliness" won both First Place and the People's Choice Award at the CLIC Photo Show in 2016. Shot in Venice, Italy, the limited edition print depicts an elderly man shuffling through a piazza, the windows in front of him beautifully reflecting the surrounding buildings and sky.
