Artist Statement:
"For me, "Dance on the Devil’s Night" is about pleasure and risks taken in the dark. At times, we're uncomfortable in the dark - but it calls to us. This dance is exciting, joyful and fulfilling. The red background evokes heat, passion and letting go all at the same time. The flames are black and sinister surrounding the figure. The figure is a female - expressive and sensual. She is temptation. I wanted to show movement in the figure. To me, it feels like she is just about to turn around and pull me in." |
