ANDARA Gallery in Prince Edward County proudly announces the launch of ANDARA Studio … a new workshop space located in a renovated building at the same location - 54 Wilson Road, Bloomfield.
Visitors to the County can now call ahead and book a fun 2-3 hour MORNING or AFTERNOON mini art workshop ... available on short notice. Visitors can choose one of three workshop types:
No experience is necessary and all materials supplied. All Workshops take place in the new ANDARA Studio on site. “More than ever, visitors are looking to enrich their travels with opportunities to create and learn something new,” says co-owner, Andrew Csafordi. Visitors often ask, “What is there to do?” We know they are looking for short art experiences that will still give them time in their schedule to do other things, like wine touring or spending time at the beach. ANDARA Studio and our daily “available on short notice” mini art workshops will serve that niche." Instructor Andrew Csafordi is a professional artist/illustrator with experience educating and supporting students. He will offer technical knowledge, encouragement and valuable techniques to help make one’s painting or drawing ability more easy and relaxing. Workshops can be booked for a 2-3 hour Morning or Afternoon session, any day of the week starting June 17th. PEC tourism and accommodation partners are welcome to contact ANDARA on behalf of their guests to check availability each day. Workshops require a minimum of 2 and maximum of 6 persons to proceed. Attendees must be ages 13 and up, and all teens must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. The full fee will apply per person. Full payment is due at time of bookings. Visitors can tour the new Workshop Studio during ANDARA Gallery’s upcoming 5th Anniversary Open House May 18th and 19th between 11 AM and 5 PM. Coffee and treats will be served, and visitors can enter a draw for a chance to win a free mini art workshop. ANDARA Gallery and the ANDARA Studio are located at 54 Wilson Road, Bloomfield. Your Instructor
ANDREW CSAFORDI is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto where he majored in drawing, painting, design and communication. An artist, illustrator and master of the ancient technique of painting with melted beeswax (encaustic painting), Andrew's impressionist works invite the viewer to become an explorer within his luminous compositions. All workshops include professional instruction by artist/illustrator and master encaustic painter, Andrew Csafordi. For an additional fee, a picnic lunch may be arranged for before or after your workshop (subject to availability). Please provide at least 48 hours advance notice for this. ANDARA Studio has partnered with THE COUNTY PICNIC to provide delicious picnic lunches before or after your workshop for an additional fee. The picnic lunches are made with 100% local, gourmet products made right here in PEC. All picnics include gourmet sandwich, artisanal soft drink & individual graze box complete with cheese, charcuterie, dips and accoutrements, fresh seasonal produce and dessert. Vegetarian and vegan options available. Inquire when you register for your workshop.

THE COUNTY PICNIC is owned by Andrea Macdonald and Edu Rodriguez - a Canadian / Spanish couple who have worked as professional tour guides around Europe. Andrea is also an accomplished travel writer who has co-authored two editions of Fodor's Travel Guides. Edu has designed and managed food tours in Rioja, Rome, Amalfi, Tuscany, Niagara and Toronto.
