Tara Wilkinson I BARNSCAPES Fine Art Photography Exhibition & Sale August 29 – December 31, 2024 Steeped in history, barns are an essential part of the rural
landscape. They’ve long been used for shelter, storage and production … and as a gathering place for the community. Barns evokes a feeling of comfort and sanctuary. Built during a golden age of barn construction, they're straightforward in design yet were built strong enough to last for generations ... even centuries. Barns are even more remarkable when you consider the timber that was felled and hand hewn, the rudimentary tools that were used and the community it took to erect and construct them … often in just one weekend. Every barn holds a story about courage, strength, perseverance, ingenuity and craftsmanship. Tara's latest body of work, Barnscapes, captures the essence of County life … both past and present.
