Encaustic Painting Workshops
Come and take a fun one or two-day encaustic painting workshop and learn about this ancient Greek painting technique that uses natural aromatic melted beeswax and oil paint mixed in for colour!
A very friendly medium, the fast drying time allows one to create captivating works that will ignite the imagination. The warm liquid wax is applied to a wooden surface with brushes. Each layer is then gently fused using heat, resulting in a luminescent painting. Relax and be inspired while painting in a casual studio environment in the tranquil countryside. The results will delight and surprise you! No experience is necessary. The ONE-Day Encaustic Painting Workshop fee is $395. per person (CDN. plus HST) and the TWO-Day Encaustic Painting Workshop fee is $795. per person (CDN. plus HST) and includes a workbook, all materials, light refreshments & snacks. There is a max of 4 persons per workshop. Bring your lunch and picnic on our grounds, or enjoy lunch nearby at Huff Estates or TerreCello wineries, or in the village of Bloomfield.
